Ukraine promises uninterrupted gas transit to Balkan countries

KIEV, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian pipeline system operator Ukrtransgaz has promised uninterrupted gas supplies to Balkan countries in winter, the company said in a statement Monday.

“This year, we have completed all planned works on the Ukrainian gas transportation system and are willing to continue to ensure an uninterrupted transit of gas to the Balkan area,” Andrei Datsyuk, director of the central dispatch department of the company, said.

The company said that on October 14-17 representatives of companies transiting Russian gas met in Romania to coordinate repairs in 2015 and the participants signed a relevant protocol.
